Smoke Free Housing: All Your Questions Answered!

The Smoke-Free Multi-Unit Housing Strategy in Wright County is going strong. Last month, Live Smoke Free presented two Lunch & Learn sessions to educate Wright County property managers and owners on the benefits of smoke-free housing. We also had the unique opportunity to present at a managers meeting for Metes & Bounds Management, a company that manages 5 properties in Wright County. Our upcoming webinar “Smoke Free Housing: All Your Questions Answered” will take place in November and will be a great educational opportunity for Wright County property managers who are considering a smoke-free policy and those who are looking for new information on e-cigarettes, medical marijuana, and incense. We have assisted with several policy adoptions and have uncovered some existing policies as well, putting us on track to exceed our goals!

Open Streets Buffalo 2014 - A Quick Look Back

The Open Streets crew now have 2 events under their belt, serving the City of Buffalo (and 1 Play Streets event, with another quickly approaching on 8/21!)

A little 'rain' - heck sprinkles... Didn't seem to stop people from coming out to enjoy some great food, get a bike helmet for their kids, give the wiffle ball home run derby contest a try and so many other activities to mention...

A professional photographer was there taking pictures of all the fun, we look forward to seeing it all But for now, here are a few photos I was able to snap.

Allina's bike helmet giveaway - worth the wait! Parents could stand in line while the kids played soccer in a parking lot!
All Star game? Heck, Buffalo's version of a home run derby and they didn't disappoint!

Karate in the street - check!

Guess who didn't want to be in the Belly Dancing Picture?

We look forward to 2015 and the future Open Streets Events across Wright County. Be sure to check out Open Streets STMA on Sept. 6th!
